Day 1: Arrival at Yogyakarta & Transfer to the hotel
Day 2: Borobudur – Mendut – Pawon – Ngawen
The day will start with reflection or meditation at the Borobudur during sunrise. Afterwards there will be a guided tour through the temple. The next stop is at the Mendut temple where we will do prayer or meditation followed by a “pradakshina” ritual. The third stop is at the Pawon temple and the last temple of today will be the Ngawen temple.
Day 3: Karangjati – Sari – Kalasan – Plaosan – Banyunibo – Lumung – Bubrah - Prambanan
This day will start with visiting the Karangjati Vihara, Yogyakarta’s oldest Vihara. The next stop is the Sari temple, a former monastery. The next stop is at the oldest Buddhist temple in Yogyakarta: the Kalasan. The tour continues at the Plaosan, a temple made from a combination of Hindu and Buddhist architecture. The next three temples are smaller and called: Banyunibo, Lumbung and Bubrah. The tour will end with a visit to the Prambanan, the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia.
Day 4: Royal Lunch
The finishing touch of the tour is a royal lunch at the former royal palace. Afterwards you will be transferred back to the hotel for check out.
